PREVENT CORONAVIRUS SPREAD
Please do the following:
- Physical distancing (if it's not an emergency, stay home; if you have to leave home minimize contact with people; if you have to be around people stay 6 feet away)
- Hygiene (wash your hands; sanitize surfaces; wear a mask and self-isolate for 2 weeks if you are sick)
- Ask others to do the same
PROTECT HEALTHCARE WORKERS
A large number of hospitals and clinics in the US do not have adequate personal protective equipment for doctors. It is ESSENTIAL that healthcare workers are protected. Healthcare workers are exposed the most to the virus, and if they get sick they can't work and can't help others, not to mention that they will be exposing patient who do not have COVID-19 to the virus! It does not make sense not to have them fully protected, but unfortunately this is the reality. Check out my blog post where I what many doctors are experiencing right now.
If you personally know doctors, nurses, other healthcare professionals, please ask them if they need anything.
If you are an organization that happens to have extra masks, please check with your community hospitals and clinics to see if they could use them. Consider donating.
The situation is critical, and we should come together to help each other as much as we can.
